Wat Phu Taphao Thong is located on the Phu Phan Mountains, Ban Nong Wang Pink, Kut Mak Fai Subdistrict, Nong Wua So District, Udon Thani Province. Currently, it has Phra Khru Khem Kanchanophat (Suphan) as the abbot, with 6 monks living there. It is Wat Rat under the Dhammayut Nikaya Sangha. There is monastery boundary of more than 15 rai, and most of the area is a stone courtyard where you will find more than 30 large stones with strange shapes. By the way, the temple has developed a walkway including the way up to each stone connected by wooden stairs; so that tourists can go up to see the beauty of the forest, and the incredible variety of forests that were born on the rocky mountains
